2 Stream: off Wix, onto Sanity and found in four languages

Together with Story Forward we moved 2 Stream off Wix, researched what buyers search for in four languages and built a 204-page Sanity site around it.

01 · The challenge

Thirty years of work, seven pages online

Brussels-based 2 Stream has produced live streams, hybrid events and corporate video for thirty years, for pharma companies, listed companies and EU institutions. Its clients are active across the Benelux, the UK and the US.

The site ran on Wix with seven pages and 24 posts, and none of the pages described a service. A buyer searching for a webinar studio, a hybrid event or a live stream in Brussels had nothing to land on.

Be found by buyers across the Benelux, the UK and the US, in the language they search in.

02 · Our approach

Research first, in every language

We started with the market. Keyword research ran separately in English, Dutch, French and German, because the same need is phrased differently in each language and each market has its own competitors.

The research showed where the opportunity sat. That gave the site its structure: a page for every service, case studies that prove them and articles that answer the questions buyers ask before they call.

  1. Strategy

Keyword research in four languages and a plan for every page: what it targets, who it is for and what it asks the visitor to do.

  2. Structure

A service page per search topic in each language, 8 case studies and almost 30 articles per language.

  3. Migration

Content moved from Wix to Sanity, every old URL redirected to its new page and every language linked so Google shows each country the right version.

  4. Launch

    Week 8

Live eight weeks after the project started. Orbit tracks rankings, visitors and leads.

03 · What we built

One site, four languages, a page for every search

The site runs on Sanity with Dutch, English, French and German versions of every page. Each language has about 50 pages: a home page, a page for each service, 8 case studies and almost 30 articles.

Pages are written for the way people search in each language. The studio page lives at /podcast-webinar-studio-brussel in Dutch, /studio-podcast-bruxelles in French and /podcast-studio-bruessel in German.

The team publishes new pages and articles in Sanity. Old links keep working: /klanten, /dna and the other Wix URLs redirect to their new pages.

04 · The results

Found in the markets it was built for

In the 90 days to 24 October, Google showed the site for 1,248 different searches, 886 of them new, and sent 940 clicks, 49% more than the 90 days before. 199 of the 204 pages are already in Google's index.

The clicks come from the markets the site was built for: Belgium 196, the US 140, France 87 and Germany 46. The US is the second largest market for a company based in Zaventem.

05 · What’s next

Leads are next

The site is weeks old, so the number to watch is leads. Calls, emails and the contact form are tracked in Orbit, and this case gets those results once a full quarter of data is in.
